Claire is a playwright, screenwriter, and poet who just received her MFA in Dramatic Writing at the University of Southern California. She received her BFA in Acting and Creative Writing from Ithaca College, and was part of Jackalope Theatre's Playwriting Lab in Chicago. Her work has been seen in staged readings at The Garry Marshall Theatre and Villa Aurora in Los Angeles, as well as The Lincoln Loft in Chicago. Claire likes to write stories centering characters struggling with mental illness & addiction, and investigates stereotypes placed on women. She tends to illuminate loneliness & write about overcoming shame. She also loves miniature knick knacks— she has a whole city of them above her kitchen sink.
